Though He was rich in glory and power, Jesus willingly stepped out of His heavenly abode to arrive not to be served but to serve.
From baby to Saviour, He came at just the right time in history to reconcile us back to God, by demonstrating what love really means.

For all of the evil Jesus suffered, He went through for our sake.
Jesus died, was buried, and rose again three days later, proving that He is true, that He is the Lamb of God, and that He has all authority over life and death.

His payment for our sins at the cross offers us the precious gift to be reconciled to our Heavenly Father in eternity, and His plan of redemption for humanity is clearly illustrated in the Bible, which God wrote especially for us.

God is love, and He is also the author of marriage. As humans, we all recognise we are flawed, and we all sin. But Jesus Christ, who is the Word of God in the flesh, set aside His glory and power and willingly laid down His life so we could be redeemed from the curse of sin and it's consequences, which is death.
In God's love letter to us- the Bible, Jesus is alluded to as the Bridegroom to His Bride, His church. Receiving the free gift of God, which is founded on love, grants us the right to live in eternity as a child of God- revealing that love is the only force that can defeat death itself.

The only gift you will cherish forever is not found in material possessions, earthly experiences, or human interactions, but in a real, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Author of Life, and only name under heaven by which we must be saved.
When we are honest with ourselves we know that our unrighteous actions against other people and against God deserve punishment. But we cannot redeem ourselves, because we are imperfect and unable to pay the price that justice demands. Because God loves us, He made the way for us to be redeemed and reconciled to Himself through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the prophesied Messiah and the fullness of God in human flesh, one with the Father and Holy Spirit as the only eternal Living God. He lived a perfectly sinless life and fulfilled the Old Testament law by nailing our sins to the cross. By the blood He shed for us, we can make peace with God and be forgiven of our sins through the mighty power of love.
Marriage is a powerful covenant that illustrates God's profound love and commitment to us. Just as we go through the ups and downs of life together, forgiving and being forgiven, God's love can be understood through the unfailing, enduring, steadfast faithfulness of Jesus' love, who took on our burden of sin so that we could be saved from death.
Though marriage is a lifelong commitment in this world, it is our personal relationship with the Lord that determines our right to eternal life with Him. Love is the only power that can overcome death itself, and it is because of Jesus’ payment for our sins with His own blood that we can receive the free gift of forgiveness so we can come before Him in love and truth.

As you begin this new chapter of your life together, may your marriage be a living testimony of God's faithfulness and the enduring power of love.
The Lord bless you with a lifetime of blessings, peace, and joy in Jesus Christ.

Prayer is how we communicate with God, and it is the first step to healing our relationship with Him. Love is trust, and to God, righteousness is believing in Him. Father God already knows your heart, so sincerity and humility is important to acknowledge your sins and renounce them. You can try praying something like this alone or with your spouse if you don’t know where to start.
Dear God in Heaven,
I am sorry for my sins and I ask for Your forgiveness and mercy.
I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose again to life so I can have eternal life.
I surrender my life to You now. Make me new and help me to live a life that honours You. Help me to reflect your wisdom, grace, and love and to reflect your character in truth, righteousness, and peace.
Thank you for Your abundant blessings and help me to honour others and honour You!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
