Deception is one of the most effective weapons the devil uses to convince people that evil is good.

Halloween is more than costumes and candy- it is a celebration of darkness and death.

While culture often portrays witchcraft, magic, and silly costumes as harmless fun, trivialising and underestimating evil desensitises us—especially children—to spiritual danger, opening us up to darkness we do not understand. Halloween's celebration of death reflects a deeper issue of the decaying world we live in, where many people joke about death but struggle to ask and even answer the question: why do we die?

The answer is not found in the glorification of evil, but rather-

The truth

Jesus' Star

In the little town of Bethlehem over 2000 years ago, God came to Earth in the form of a man.

Stepping out of the glory of heaven, Jesus entered into His creation, born of a virgin named Mary as God's only begotten Son.

Jesus arrived at just the right time in history to proclaim forgiveness of sins, redemption, and eternal life to all who trust in Him.

Nativity
Jesus worked miracles by healing the sick, restoring sight to the blind, and liberating people imprisoned by sin. But the most profound expression of love occurred just outside Jerusalem where Jesus willingly laid down His life for us, enduring a cruel death on the Roman cross.
The Cross

Nevertheless, this was all part of the Father’s plan.

Even the evil powers of this age did not understand, or they would not have crucified Him!

The Empty Tomb The Empty Tomb Rock

For Jesus was buried, and He rose to life three days later, proving that He is true, He is God, and that He has all authority over life and death. Jesus’ atonement for our sins through the cross offers us the precious gift to be reconciled to the Father for eternity. His plan of redemption because of His love for us is clearly illustrated in His Word, the Bible.

Death is the consequence of sin, and deep down, we know we cannot save ourselves.

Our tendency to choose evil over good is ingrained into human nature, and we are by default, rebellious and hostile to God. No amount of good deeds can redeem us, and the more we entangle ourself in darkness, the more our sins rule us.

But God has not given up on us. In fact, He has taken the initiative to give us His Word, the Bible, which is essentially His love letter to us. The Bible testifies of God’s character to assure us He is faithful, true, and worth trusting in, and through it we can know God's love because His sheep hear His voice.

The words you are about to experience are true. For they come from the very heart of God. He loves YOU. And He is the Father you have been looking for all your life. This is His love letter to you.

, the greatest gift you can ever receive is to know Jesus' love for you.

the gospel of peace

The path to life and love is found in the light of the world, Jesus Christ.

True love goes beyond physical, emotional, or material desires. It is found in a real, personal relationship with Jesus Christ— the Living God, the Author of Life, and the only name under heaven by which we must be saved.

When we are honest with ourselves we know that our unrighteous actions against other people and against God deserve punishment. But we cannot redeem ourselves, because we are imperfect and unable to pay the price that justice demands. Because God loves us, our Father made the way for us to be redeemed and reconciled to Himself through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the prophesied Messiah and the fullness of God in human flesh, one with the Father and Holy Spirit as the only eternal Living God. He lived a perfectly sinless life and fulfilled the Old Testament law by nailing our sins to the cross. By the blood He shed for us, we can make peace with God and be forgiven of our sins through the mighty power of love.

The Living God has no pleasure in the death of anyone, and partaking in the celebration of Halloween not only opens us up to spiritual wickedness, it makes a mockery of Jesus' sacrifice, who suffered an evil death to make redemption and eternal life possible for us.

Jesus is the light of the world and He is the only name under heaven by which we must be saved. He defeated death so that we don’t have to live in fear of death and hell, but instead, fear the one eternal God and Creator out of reverence, respect, and love, which leads to true wisdom and peace.

If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:6-7 6

Receive The Free Gift of God

Receiving salvation in Jesus simply requires faith, even as small as a mustard seed, that God's Word is true and that Jesus died and rose again to redeem you from your sins.

Prayer is how we communicate with God. Our Father already knows your heart, so sincerity and humility is important to confess your sins and renounce them.

You can try praying something like this if you don’t know where to start.

Dear Father God,

I know I am a sinner and I ask for Your forgiveness and mercy.

I believe Jesus died on the cross to redeem me from my sins and rose again to life so I can be saved. I know there is nothing I can do to save myself, and I surrender my life to You so I can be made new in righteousness.

Please forgive me of all my sins help me to know true love. Help me to live a life of righteousness and make the right choices that honour You.

Thank you for your amazing love and grace!

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

No matter how people try to justify it, celebrating death and evil goes against what the Lord wants for us, which is to accept salvation in Jesus so we can live in joy and peace.

Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Proverbs 8:33-36
