The Free Gift
Jesus' Star

In the little town of Bethlehem over 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ, who is the image of the invisible God, was born of a virgin named Mary.

Emptying Himself of His glory and power, Jesus came to Earth as God's only begotten Son to give us what we can't buy or achieve on our own: perfect righteousness and justification for eternal life.

Nativity
Jesus lived a perfect sinless life and proved His divinity by fulfilling many prophecies foretelling His life, healing the sick, and forgiving people of their sins. But because He testified of the truth and the world's evil, religious leaders unwilling to accept Jesus as Messiah orchestrated His crucifixion on the Roman cross.
The Cross

Nevertheless, what was meant for evil, God purposed for good.

For Jesus willingly laid down His life for us at the cross, was buried, and rose to life three days later, proving that He is true, He is God, and that He has all authority over life and death.

The Empty Tomb The Empty Tomb Rock

Jesus’ victory over death means the payment for our sins is complete, allowing us to come to God personally through Jesus for forgiveness and peace. God’s plan for our redemption out of His incredible love for us is clearly illustrated in His Word, the Bible.

Even to your old age and grey hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
Isaiah 46:4

Birthdays are a special time for reflection and anticipating plans for the future. But without God's guidance, we inevitably chase peace without ever finding true fulfilment.

God is the embodiment of love, and He not only knows and understands our struggles, He wants to help us walk the right path to life through a relationship with Him that is based on love. This is why He gave us His written Word, the Bible, as well as Jesus, the Word in the flesh, to testify of His character, instruct us in righteousness, and assure us that He is faithful and true.

, the greatest gift you can ever receive is to know Jesus' love for you.

Pennant
the gospel of peace

The free gift of god is eternal life, received by trusting and following Jesus Christ

The only gift you will cherish forever is not found in material possessions, earthly experiences, or human interactions, but in a real, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Author of Life, and only name under heaven by which we must be saved.

When we are honest with ourselves we know that our unrighteous actions against other people and against God deserve punishment. But we cannot redeem ourselves, because we are imperfect and unable to pay the price that justice demands. Because God loves us, He made the way for us to be redeemed and reconciled to Himself through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the prophesied Messiah and the fullness of God in human flesh, one with the Father and Holy Spirit as the only eternal Living God. He lived a perfectly sinless life and fulfilled the Old Testament law by nailing our sins to the cross. By the blood He shed for us, we can make peace with God and be forgiven of our sins through the mighty power of love.

Life's greatest joys are often experienced from our closest relationships, and no one knows us better than our Creator who made us in His image and knows our strengths, weaknesses, and sins.

Even though death is something we all face due to the curse of sin, Jesus shares His victory over death with everyone who comes to Him in faith. God is love, and a relationship that is based on respect, trust, and honesty keeps no record of wrongs. It is not by works that we are made righteous, but by being forgiven of our wrongs- an act of true love.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Receive The Gift

Prayer is how we communicate with God, and it is the first step to healing our relationship with Him. To receive the free gift of God, we simply need to trust that God is true and that Jesus died and rose to life to redeem you of your sins. Father God already knows your heart so sincerity and humility is important to acknowledge your sins and renounce them. You can try praying something like this if you don’t know where to start.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for my life and Your love, and for bringing me to this point in my life. I am sorry for my sins and ask for Your forgiveness and mercy.

I believe Jesus died on the cross to pay for my sins and rose again to life so I can make peace with You.

I'm trusting in Jesus as my Lord and Saviour from this point forward. Please cleanse me from all unrighteousness and help me make the right choices that honour You.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD.
