In this world, science is seen as the solution to all our problems.

Science shapes nearly every part of our lives, influencing how we live, think, and imagine the future. Media has conditioned us to believe the "final frontier" for human exploration is outer space.

But we are all limited by our bias, experience, and the unique way we all perceive the world. This is why scientific theories remain as theories and can never be claimed as absolute truth.

"I have come to believe that the motion of the Earth cannot be detected by any optical experiment, though the Earth is revolving around the Sun."

Are your beliefs on space based on fact or faith? Are your beliefs on space based on fact or faith? Are your beliefs on space based on fact or faith? Are your beliefs on space based on fact or faith? Are your beliefs on space based on fact or faith?

nāšā' (verb)

נָשָׁא naw-shaw'; a primitive root; to lead astray, i.e. (mentally) to delude, or (morally) to seduce:—beguile, deceive, greatly, utterly. Source

First Used:
And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
Genesis 3:13

You don’t need to be a scientist to understand creation because the Lord has already revealed the truth in His Word.

When it comes to the world, the only way to know the truth about it is to consult the Creator. The Bible isn’t just another book; it’s His testimony of how He made the world and everything in it. The problem is, modern science often contradicts what Scripture says. So, our understanding of the world rests on a choice.

Whose testimony do you trust more: man's or the Lord's?

False
Man’s wisdom

Humans can view Earth from God’s perspective (also known in cinema as the God's-eye view, bird's-eye view, or overhead shot).

God’s word

Heaven is God’s throne and Earth is His footstool.

“Thus says the LORD: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?”
Isaiah 66:1

Conclusion: We cannot know what earth looks like in totality because we cannot see from God's perspective.

False
Man’s wisdom

Humans can land on the Moon, bring back Moon dust, set up temporary bases, and leave behind scientific equipment, flags, and human waste on the surface.

God’s word

Humans do not have authority over the sun, moon, or stars.

“And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.”
Genesis 1:16-18
“Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”
Genesis 1:26
“The day is thine, and the night is thine; thou hast prepared the sun and the moon.”
Psalms 74:16

Conclusion: We cannot land on the Moon because we cannot access heaven, and have not been given authority over the heavenly lights.

False
Man’s wisdom

The Moon is an orbiting rock that reflects sunlight.

God’s word

The Moon is a light source.

“Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years. Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth.” And that is what happened. God made two great lights—the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, to govern the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.”
Genesis 1:14-18

Conclusion: The Moon gives its own light.

False
Man’s wisdom

Gravity keeps planets in orbit around the sun, keeps us on the ground, and causes objects to fall when dropped.

God’s word

God’s sovereignty governs creation and His design is beyond human understanding.

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? “Or who shut in the sea with doors when it burst out from the womb, when I made clouds its garment and thick darkness its swaddling band, and prescribed limits for it and set bars and doors, and said, ‘Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stayed’?”
Job 38:4-11
“When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on earth, how neither day nor night do one's eyes see sleep, then I saw all the work of God, that man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. However much man may toil in seeking, he will not find it out. Even though a wise man claims to know, he cannot find it out.”
Ecclesiastes 8:16-17

Conclusion: We cannot fully comprehend God's design because God's ways are higher than our ways.

False
Man’s wisdom

The ocean’s tides are determined by the gravitational pull of the Moon, and to a lesser extent, the Sun.

God’s word

God governs the sun, moon, and oceans.

“Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the LORD of hosts is his name: “If this fixed order departs from before me, declares the LORD, then shall the offspring of Israel cease from being a nation before me forever.”
Jeremiah 31:35-36
“And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day. There has been no day like it before or since, when the LORD heeded the voice of a man, for the LORD fought for Israel.”
Joshua 10:13-14

Conclusion: Gravity is man's attempt to explain God's sovereignty over creation.

False
Man’s wisdom

Earth experiences seasons, day, and night because it is spinning and orbiting the sun on a tilted axis due to gravity.

God’s word

God governs the night, day, and the seasons.

“And when the LORD smelled the pleasing aroma, the LORD said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man's heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”
Genesis 8:21-22

Conclusion: Gravity is man's attempt to explain God's sovereignty over the days and seasons.

False
Man’s wisdom

Black holes are so dense that gravity just beneath its surface, the event horizon, is strong enough that nothing – not even light – can escape.

God’s word

Jesus is the light of the world, and darkness never overcomes light.

“He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.”
Daniel 2:21-22
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”
John 1:5
“Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.”
Psalms 139:7-12

Conclusion: Black holes don't exist.

False
Man’s wisdom

Galaxies, stars, and black holes are still forming today.

God’s word

Creation is finished.

“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.”
Genesis 2:1-2

Conclusion: The stars we see today are consistent with the sky of our ancestors as well as future generations.

False
Man’s wisdom

Earth is one of thousands of similar planets in the universe suitable for life.

God’s word

Earth was specifically made to be inhabited.

“For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!): “I am the LORD, and there is no other.”
Isaiah 45:18
“Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.”
Psalms 119:89-90

Conclusion: There are no other habitable "planets".

False
Man’s wisdom

Aliens from outer space are expected to exist and visit Earth sometime in the future.

God’s word

God created all life and He gave humans dominion over earth.

“When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place— what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority— the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents. O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!”
Psalms 8:3-9

Conclusion: Aliens as we are taught aren't real.

False
Man’s wisdom

The vacuum of space is the final frontier.

God’s word

After death humans return to the earth.

“Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them.”
Psalms 146:3-4

Conclusion: As the first Adam was made of earth, we also return to earth when we die— not some distant planet or galaxy.

False
Man’s wisdom

Dark matter is the invisible glue that holds the universe together.

God’s word

Jesus holds creation together.

“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.”
Colossians 1:15-17

Conclusion: Jesus upholds all of creation and we depend on His continued faithfulness for each day and breath.

False
Man’s wisdom

Space colonies are a future possibility in a vacuum with no breathable air.

God’s word

The universe is upheld by God’s Word, and His breath gives life.

“In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.”
Job 12:10
“By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.”
Psalms 33:6

Conclusion: Outer space cannot exist as we are taught. Earth was especially created by God for life— not the dark and silent vacuum of "space" which cannot scatter light, carry sound, or sustain life.

We are taught the laws of nature are fundamental to understanding the world we live in.

Pray
But Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein don’t have the final say on how creation works.
Pray
Johannes Kepler doesn’t have the final say on how stars traverse the sky.
Pray
Edwin Hubble doesn’t have the final say on what the heavens are and what it contains.
Pray
James Webb doesn’t have the final say on what the heavens looks like.
Pray
Charles Darwin doesn’t have the final say on how God’s creatures live, move, and have their being.
It is the Lord that made the earth by his strength, who set up the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the sky, and set abundance of waters in the sky, and brought up clouds from the ends of the earth; he made lightnings for the rain, and brought forth light out of his treasures.
Jeremiah 10:12-13

God is the Creator.
How well do you know His creation?

The contradictions between Scripture and science can be tempting to ignore because "it’s not a salvation issue". It is however a truth issue.

God made heaven and earth, and His throne is in heaven. Heaven is not outer space. We are taught space is cold, silent, and dark. Jesus also speaks of outer darkness— in reference to hell.

Scripture warns of an apostasy from the Lord before the man of lawlessness is revealed, because people refuse to love the truth and be saved. In Hosea 4:6, God’s people were destroyed for lack of knowledge because they rejected it.

Science
or God?

Jesus Christ is the word of God, the light of the world, and the Lord of all creation. His breath gives life and His throne is in heaven. As humans, we cannot enter heaven on our own terms.

According to the wisdom of this world, Earth’s axial tilt is 23.4° or 66.6°, the orbital speed is 66,616mph, and the gravitational constant is 6.67430 × 10⁻¹¹ m³ kg⁻¹ s⁻². But God is clear: we cannot fully comprehend His design or view earth from His perspective because His ways are higher than ours. If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.

The lies of the big bang theory, Darwinian evolution, and UFOs/aliens depend heavily on space and our imagination, and these ideas are very effective at making us feel small, worthless, and insignificant. But once you realise we live in a world of lies and that God's word is true, the devil's house of cards collapses and it becomes much easier to understand why the world is the way it is today.

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God—a workman not ashamed, straightly cutting the word of truth."

2 Timothy 2:15

True science rests on repeatable tests and observation. If a theory cannot withstand scrutiny it must be discarded.

To be truly wise in this world, we have to become a fool. The wisdom of this world is folly with God, and He knows the thoughts of the wise— that they are futile. God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, what is weak in the world to shame the strong, and what is low and despised in the world and even the things that are not to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Jesus said we would need to pray for strength in order to escape the snare of the enemy and stand before the Son of Man. But even though God has given us everything for life here on earth, we are still tempted to look beyond those boundaries— towards heaven. Satan tempted Eve with his lies of hidden "wisdom" and this led to death entering all of creation. We face a similar test today.

How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’”

Isaiah 14:12-14

Know the truth for yourself.

If this is ringing true to you but you haven't yet come to God or even considered the level of deception we are living in, the only way to know for sure is to ask the Creator to show you for yourself.

Jesus is the Father's only begotten Son— the fullness of God in human flesh and the embodiment of love and truth. He stepped out of heaven to demonstrate what love truly means, through suffering, the shedding of His blood, and death at the cross to redeem us of our sins. After being buried and rising on the third day, Jesus showed in His life, death, and resurrection that only true love can overcome death, and that He is the only way we can have true peace with God. God's plan spans time, crosses continents, and impacts all of creation. But it can all be summarised in one word which underpins everything: love.

Prayer is how we communicate with God. If you would like to come to God now, you can try praying something like this to get started.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I am sorry for my sins, and I ask for your forgiveness and mercy. I believe Jesus shed His blood and gave His life to redeem me, and I come to You now for Your help. I know I don't have the answers to everything and I want to know the truth about You and Your creation. I ask for Your grace, strength, and wisdom to overcome all deception and spiritual blindness. Open my spiritual eyes and help me to discern truth from error. Establish my path forward so I can live a life that honours You.

I commit my life to You and trust in Your goodness and plan for my life. Thank You for life and for showing me true love.

In Jesus' name,
Amen

Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.
