Our superpower isn't found in what we can do. It is found in what we can’t do on our own.
Power isn’t measured by fame, influence, or achievements, but rather in how we love others and love the Lord, our God. No matter how good our talents, achievements, and intentions are, we often make the wrong choices out of selfishness and pride. This is called sin, and it makes us feel fear, guilt, and shame.
The only power that can break the curse of sin is love, which is found in the only perfect person, Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God and Author of life, demonstrated the superpower of love almost 2000 years ago when He came in the flesh and willingly laid down His life for us on the cross to pay for our sins once for all with the blood He shed for us. He rose to life three days later, proving that He has authority over life and death, and that His love for you and I is even more powerful than death itself.
Jesus is alive today, and we can know the meaning of true love because He shares His victory over death with everyone who trusts in Him, allowing us to live forever in the strength, power, and love of Christ. Through a friendship with God that is based on respect and love, we can use the unique skills, talents, and abilities He has given us for an eternal purpose that never fades, giving us lasting fulfilment and peace that cannot be found in any other worldly power or achievement.
